Play

The old adage that chicks learn through play works for us...

Learn to count through cooking activities, learn to write by painting on all sorts of materials, learn to use their little legs and feet exploring indoors and out, or learn to share - with lots of encouragement from the staff of course!

To have the opportunity to make mistakes but have the confidence to learn from them is an invaluable lesson our chicks can learn through all sorts of play.

The nursery can be turned upside down and look very chaotic during periods of play but this is evidence of just how much learning is taking place and how much the little ones are enjoying themselves!

Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

Our role as practitioners is to ensure that we provide our children with the best possible start in life. Nursery life develops a child’s talents and abilities whilst adherence to the EYFS ensures we provide a stimulating and interesting education for all.

To learn more please visit www.foundationyears.org.uk or www.education.gov.uk/publications. Alternatively please contact us to discuss how we implement the curriculum in our nurseries or to make an appointment to see first-hand how we develop a child’s interests and talents; irrespective of ethnicity, culture, religion, home language, family background, learning-difficulties, disabilities or gender.
