Florence Road, Wimbledon - a possible new Dicky Birds nursery nest!
We currently have a planning application with Merton Council to open a new Dicky Birds nursery in Florence Road, Wimbledon. This site is situated within walking distance of Wimbledon mainline station and South Park Gardens, an ideal location for a new Dicky Birds nest.
Following an update with our planning officer we are delighted to announce that our application will be heard by Merton's planning committee on the 16th February 2012. Watch this space for further updates.

We have two nurseries located in the Wimbledon area both within walking distance to the station.
Our Dundonald Road Nursery
The 52a Dundonald Road nursery is a bright and airy ground-floor nursery, leading to a soft-play area and outside facilities. There is a push-chair park situated next to the main entrance, and the nursery also has the additional benefit of the facilities at Dundonald Park which is located directly across the road.
Swimming is available for children over 3 years of age at Wimbledon public swimming baths. The nearby park facilities are used throughout the year for football and tennis activities.
This nursery provides excellent wrap-around care for children wishing to attend both a state and private nursery. Please note this bespoke service must be agreed prior to your child attending the nursery.
The 52a Dundonald Road nursery is registered with Ofsted to accommodate 40 children from 3 months to 5 years old.

Our Queens Road Nursery
Queens Road nursery is located directly opposite Wimbledon Rail Station. It is set in a semi-detached house on the edge of a residential conservation area. The nursery uses all three floors of the building, and leads onto two outside garden areas and a pushchair park.
Within the vicinity of the nursery the staff enjoy taking children for walks to South Park Gardens. Wimbledon public baths are within easy walking distance and children over 3 years of age enjoy regular swimming lessons on a Wednesday.
The Queens Road nursery is registered with Ofsted to accomodate 62 children under 5 years old.

Information
Fees include breakfast, lunch, high tea and non-formula milk. Parents are requested to supply nappies and formula milk.
Both of the nurseries are closed during the Christmas period and on all bank holidays.
Opening Times
Monday to Friday We can offer an early morning drop off from 7.30 am to 8.00 am and a late extension from 6.00 pm to 6.30 pm. Please note: This facility must be booked at least 24 hours in advance to ensure the correct staff/child ratios are maintained. Wrap-around
facilities are available at both nurseries for children to attend both a state and
private nursery. This bespoke service must be agreed before
your child attends the nursery.
