Claremont Hall: Claremont Hall, situated at the junction of Claremont Road and Maple Road, has been marketed for sale by St Raphael's Church. Although there were many interested parties, we are delighted and very excited to announce that we have been successful in our bid to purchase the hall.
Subject to planning and design issues we propose to utilise the ground floor for nursery use, with the first floor being developed for shared community use. Both nurseries in Claremont Road will enjoy unlimited access for sports, dance, and theatrical events.
Most importantly the first floor will help us extend the facilities and opportunities available to the children in both nurseries, and give us an all-year-round sports facility to cater for the vagaries of the English weather.
Dicky Birds Nurseries Market Place: Roll up roll up to Dicky Birds Market Place!
Much to our delight we have discovered that some of our nursery parents are running wonderful enterprises that we simply have to let you know about
Our parents have been very very busy creating handmade children's clothing, funky baby bags, and limited edition art prints to name but a few.
To help spread the word and keep you informed of the latest goodies on offer, we are proud to launch our Market Place web page.
Would you like to advertise your business in our Market Place?
If you have a business, however big or small, that you think would be of interest to our parents then please drop us a line with a brief description of your product along with relevant details (email, address, phone, webiste) to headchick@dickybirds.co.uk, and we will pop you on our site.

Information Computer Technology (ICT): We are currently in the process of developing an ICT department within the nursery.
The purchase of two laptops will enable the children to explore and develop an interest in literacy and maths. These sessions will be available for children of 18 months and over. ICT will take place on a weekly basis.
Parent's Online Chat Forum and Community: In this day and age we are all heavily reliant on the internet to keep in touch. We realise how difficult it can be to find time to meet other parents, socialise, and exchange ideas and experiences...but do not fear.
We are in the process of creating an online chat forum and message board, so that parents can get in touch with each other, chat, and swap ideas and information. So watch this space.
Rugby Coaching at Dickybirds: Chris Berry is over seeing rugby coaching at our full daycare nurseries. Chris is an experienced under 8's coach, who will be over seeing the coaching of boys and girls over 3 years of age who will take part in tag rugby sessions.
The children will develop hand-eye co-ordination skills, turn taking, and fitness training in preparation for the next Rugby World Cup!
Any queries regarding rugby coaching, or parents wishing to join a local club should contact Chris on chris@dickybirds.co.uk
