Fees per month: September 2011
Fees for children under 3 years of age will be £65.50 per day (please see column 1).
Fees for children over 3 years of age will be £59.50 per day (please see columns 2 & 3).
The over 3 rates apply the term following the child's 3rd birthday. Please see below a list of monthly fees depending on your child's age.
The over 3's rate is subject to certain criteria. Column 2 is applicable to children whose funding is claimed by another provider and column 3 relates to funded children who only attend Dicky Birds Nurseries.
If your child attends more than one nursery setting your funding may be affected. If your child attends more than one settling please contact our Accounts Department for further information at accounts@dickybirds.co.uk

To assist budgeting, fees are calculated on a calendar month basis and reviewed every September.
Sibling discount
Siblings attending five days per week are offered 10% discount for the second child.
Joining our waiting list
A non refundable administration fee of £50.00 is required to join our waiting list register here.
Securing a place
Once you have been offered a place for your child a deposit of £250.00 is required to secure the place as well as one full month and applicable part month fees in advance.
The deposit is repayable within eight weeks of your child departing from the nursery, and is subject to eight-weeks written notice of your child leaving the nursery being received at head office. The deposit and one full month and applicable part month fees are not refundable should the place at the nursery not be taken.
No refund is given for days unattended due to sickness, family holiday, or bank holidays.
Child Care Vouchers
We are affiliated to and accept most of the Childcare Voucher Schemes offered by employers. The current allowance for tax saving has been capped at £55.00 per week/£243.00 per month per parent/guardian. Further information
The nursery is open 51 weeks of the year. It is closed for five working days over the Christmas period and for all bank holidays.
Fees include breakfast, lunch, high tea, snacks, and non-formula milk.
Parents are requested to supply nappies, wipes, and formula milk.

From which month is my child eligible for the 3+ year old and government funded fee rate?
3 years old by 31 March will be eligible from 1st April (summer term)
3 years old by 31 August will be eligible from 1st September (autumn term)
3 years old by 31 December will be eligible for from 1st January (spring term)
How many weeks per year is my child funded for?
3+ year old government funding entitlement is for 38 weeks of the year.
How many hours is my child funded for?
The government will fund 3+ year olds for up to 15 hours per week.
What is the maximum amount of funding I can receive for my child?
Merton: Maximum amount of funding you can receive is £2114.70
Kingston: Maximum amount of funding you can receive is £2223.00
How will I receive the government funding for my child?
The funding will be deducted from your monthly fee the term after your child has turned 3 years of age.
How do Dicky Birds account for the government funding in the monthly fee?
The
monthly fee is calculated by prorating the annual funding entitlement
of 38 weeks over 51 weeks. It is first deducted from the annual fees
for 51 weeks and the total is then divided into 12 equal payments.
Once the funding has been calculated what is the average daily rate?
(Daily rate prior to funding - £59.50 per day)
If your child attends 1 day per week - Merton: £36.25 - Kingston: £30.44
If you child attends 2 days per week - £41.34
If your child attends 3 days per week - £44.97
If your child attends 4 days per week - £48.60
If your child attends 5 days per week - £50.78
Why is the 3/4/5 rate more expensive?
Because
the funding is only paid to a maximum of 15 hours per week even
though your child may attend up to 5 days per week.
What if my child attends another nursery? Will I still receive funding?
Your
child is eligible for funding from Dicky Birds and/or from the other
nursery to maximum of 15 hours per week. Please contact our Accounts
